Information stored on your device

App Lock stores certain app data locally on your device, including:

  • App lock/hide selections and settings
  • PIN/passcode setup data
  • Secret notes you create in the app
  • Media (photos/videos) you add to the private vault

We do not require account creation to use the app.

Purchase-related information

For in-app subscriptions/purchases, we use RevenueCat and Apple’s in-app purchase system. These services may process purchase-related data such as subscription status, transaction identifiers, and entitlement state so premium features can be provided.

Feedback and support

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include in your message (for example: email address, message content, and any attachments you send).

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide app functionality (app lock, vault, notes, and settings)
  • Verify premium access and restore purchases
  • Respond to support requests and improve the app

3. Permissions

App Lock may request access to:

  • Photos/Photo Library: to import or export media for the private vault
  • Screen Time / Family Controls: to let you select and manage apps you choose to lock/block

These permissions are used only to provide the requested features.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data with third-party service providers only as needed to operate core features:

  • Apple (in-app purchases)
  • RevenueCat (subscription management)
  • If you choose external support channels, those channels (such as your email provider or messaging platform) process data under their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

Data stored locally remains on your device unless you delete it or uninstall the app.
Support emails are retained as needed to respond to inquiries and maintain support history.

6. Children’s Privacy

App Lock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Your Choices

You can:

  • Revoke app permissions in iOS Settings
  • Delete vault media/notes from within the app
  • Uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
